About Stevenage
Stevenage holds a distinctive place in British history as the country's first designated New Town, chosen in 1946 to house families moving out of London after the war. Today the town is home to around 90,000 people and offers two very different centres: the pedestrianised New Town centre with its shops, market and leisure facilities, and the historic Old Town High Street, where independent shops, pubs and restaurants line the original coaching route. An extensive network of cycleways runs throughout the town, keeping bikes separated from road traffic.
Stevenage sits on the East Coast Main Line, with fast rail services running direct to London King's Cross, and the A1(M) passes along the edge of the town for road connections north and south. Housing includes a large stock of post-war terraces and semis, many built with garages, alongside newer developments such as Great Ashby. That mix of garage-equipped family homes makes Stevenage well suited to made-to-measure roller door installations.
Rollrite serve homeowners across Stevenage and the wider county with professional
roller garage doors in Hertfordshire. We are based in Essex,
but we cover Stevenage with planned survey and installation visits, and our made-to-measure doors are
built to fit any opening, from post-war semis to modern developments.
